Welcome to Valcoustics Canada Ltd. Our firm has been providing sound solutions to acoustical challenges for more than half a century. We provide professional engineering services in acoustics to architects, engineers, planners, developers, builders, industry, the legal profession and all levels of government.

Wind Turbine

MOECC Offshore Windfarm Study
The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MOECC) of Ontario has awarded Valcoustics Canada Ltd. a contract to conduct a technical evaluation of sound propagation modelling methodologies to predict offshore wind farm noise impacts. The purpose of the study is to identify, describe and assess suitable methodologies for sound propagation modelling specific to offshore wind farm projects.

Georgetown South Expansion (Airport Rail Link)
We are currently providing noise and vibration monitoring services for the Georgetown South Expansion and Air Rail Link. The project spans 5 years and currently includes over 30 sound/vibration monitoring locations along the length of the rail corridor between Union Station and Pearson Airport.
Oakville Hospital

New Oakville Hospital
We currently are providing a full complement of acoustical consulting engineering services for the new Halton Region Hospital project under construction at Dundas Street West and Third Line in Oakville, through the direction of the Ellis Don Carillion Halton Joint Venture. The project involves 1.6 million sq. feet including patient care services, diagnostic imaging, cancer treatment and providing 467 beds. Scheduled completion is December 2015.

  • Ontario Planning Journal Al Lightstone was invited to submit an article for publication in the Jan/Feb OPPI.  The article is entitled "MOE Issues News Noise Guideline – Consolidation Resolves Longstanding Issues” .
