The Ontario Superior Court of Justice has dismissed a request for a judicial review of the Consolidated Hearings Board’s decision to approve the expansion of the Duntroon Quarry. Walker Industries, which owns the quarry, said the decision means the quarry expansion can proceed. “This is a great day for us, especially for the Duntroon Quarry members and for the many individuals and businesses that will be supported economically by the quarry expansion,” company vice-president Ken Lucyshyn said in a statement, adding Walker Industries is grateful for the support it’s received throughout the process. The decision followed a 13-month hearing at which volumes of evidence and testimony were presented. Source: Stayner Sun.
