The Canadian Broadcast Corporation (CBC) wanted to reopen the ice ring at the historic Maple Leaf Gardens for production of the TV show “Battle of the Blades”. Additional temporary mechanical equipment was required in order to operate the ice ring. The City of Toronto was concerned about the potential noise from the temporary equipment. Valcoustics was retained by the CBC to design a mitigation plan so that the equipment would operate within the allowable limits.
