The Rockfort Quarry was proposed for an 89 ha site in a rural area of Caledon. Valcoustics was retained by the Town of Caledon in 1998 to peer review the noise impact studies prepared in support of the proposed quarry operation. The matter went before the Ontario Municipal Board, commencing in September 2009. John Emeljanow gave evidence on behalf of the Town of Caledon in opposition to the proposed quarry. The OMB decision denying the proposed quarry was issued in November 2010.
